Get Connected began with an idea between Autumn Bailey and Brent Brooks in 2011. When they started, they had no idea what would become of the Atlanta-based networking mixer. All they knew is Atlanta needed a platform and a place for industry professionals to come together, connect, network, celebrate their successes and find opportunities for their passion of acting and film production. Over the past six years, The two partners have developed an awesome event that showcases filmmakers and their completed film projects through the screening room. They hold industry panels and workshops, provide a cash bar, and most importantly, a low-cost entry fee! These two passionate individuals not only provide a great platform for all members of the film community, they also are community oriented. They have contributed thousands of dollars to local charities and continue to find ways to help those in need. At every event Get Connected showcases film projects created by our local filmmakers! We love screening projects and look forward to new submissions. If you are a filmmaker and recently finished a project that you would like to get screened, let us know. We base or showtime on how many RSVP a filmmaker gets from those interested in viewing the screening or want to come out and support your creative genius!

Get Connected is always focused on delivering valuable information to those in the industry. Further, we always attempt to change up the topic at each event. Workshops and Panels vary depending on who is available, the season the event is taking place, and the relevance of what is going on in the industry today.
